Senior Director of DevOps at triValence

Jack Szczepek has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Jack started their career in 1995 as a Service Technician at Imaginet Incorporated, where they provided hardware and software support for Apple Macintosh systems. From 1997 to 1998, they worked as a Systems Administrator at Imation Corporation, responsible for administering a network and developing a security plan for servers and desktops.

In 1998, Jack joined Express Scripts/ValueRx as a Programmer Analyst, where they served as the administrator of reporting and ETL tools. Later that year, they joined Atterro as a Senior Database Administrator, managing and maintaining over 70 databases and supporting software applications.

Jack's next role was at RedBrick Health (now Virgin Pulse) in 2011, where they started as a Senior Database Administrator before becoming the Manager of Database Engineering in 2014. Jack led the database team, served as a technical resource, and provided mentoring and management.

In 2016, Jack became the DevOps Manager at Virgin Pulse, responsible for leading the DevOps team and enabling software development and operations teams to deliver solutions quickly and safely through automation and best practices.

In 2021, Jack joined symplr as the Director of DevOps and Security at Halo Health, a symplr company. In this role, they ensured customer-facing technology met performance requirements, supported infrastructure and tooling for fast feature development, and operated and maintained security controls for cloud-based service offerings.

Currently, Jack works at triValence as the Senior Director of DevOps, starting in 2022.

Jack Szczepek completed their Master of Science degree in Management of Technology from the Technological Leadership Institute at the University of Minnesota. Jack attended this program from 2017 to 2019. Prior to this, Jack earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Information Technology in Management from Concordia University-St. Paul, which they completed in 2004.
