Chief General Manager, Head Technology, Ptb; Head, Defence Design at Triveni

PG RAMESH has extensive work experience spanning over several companies and positions. Starting in 1993, they served in various lead roles in O&M (Afloat & Ashore) in the Indian Navy, where they effectively managed O&M of four strategically critical marine machinery platforms and developed innovative methods for sustained maritime missions. In 2004, they joined the Defence Institute of Advanced Technology as HoD and Senior Faculty, where they headed the Mechanical (Marine) Engineering department, designed new courses, and conducted continuing education programs. From 2008 to 2010, they worked as Deputy Director in the Indian Navy, where they implemented organizational policies, directed maintenance operations, and coordinated modernization projects. PG then moved on to the MoD, where they served as Deputy Director and executed design and development projects. In 2013, they joined Transcarb Energy Pvt. Ltd as General Manager, leading waste-to-energy projects and initiating EPC activities. From 2014 to 2018, they worked at L&T Shipbuilding Ltd, starting as Deputy General Manager and advancing to Sr. Deputy General Manager, responsible for shipboard system design and reliability management. At The Assam Kaziranga University, they held various positions, including Professor & Dean and Professor & Head, focusing on curriculum rationalization, research promotion, and academia-industry collaboration. Currently, they are employed at Triveni Engineering & Industries Limited as Chief General Manager and Head Technology, responsible for PTB and Defence Design.

PG RAMESH has a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Reliability Engineering & Optimisation - Large Engineering Plants from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. PG also holds a Master's Degree in Mechanical (Marine) Engineering from Savitribai Phule Pune University. Their Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering is from JNU, and they have a Bachelor's Degree in Science from the National Defence Academy.
