TriVirum CEO and Chairman of the Board, 2018. Jim Moon was CTO of Sotera Wireless, Inc., a Company creating a new generation of critical care patient monitoring systems from 2008 until 2016. Patient worn, but with the full capabilities of critical care monitoring systems that tether the patient to the equipment and cost much more, the Sotera ViSi System is the culmination of over thirty years-experience in the patient monitoring industry. Jim was CEO of Lifecom, Inc. (now AkeLex), an early stage company that developed proprietary software to refine the differential diagnosis. Jim was Chairman and CEO of Serveron Corporation, located in Hillsboro, Oregon. Serveron provided proprietary technology for critical electric utility transmission and distribution infrastructure assets. Serveron was acquired by BP Global in 2005. Jim was the Founder, Chairman and CEO of Protocol Systems from 1986 to 1998. Under his leadership Protocol Systems pioneered portable patient monitoring equipment that remains the standard of the industry. Protocol Systems completed its IPO in 1992 and grew to over $68 million in sales and forty consecutive profitable quarters under Jim’s leadership. Mr. Moon served on the Board of Directors of OrCad, Inc, a computer aided design software company, and on the Executive Committee and as Chairman of the Oregon Chapter of the American Electronics Association. Prior to founding Protocol Systems, Mr. Moon held engineering and management positions with SpaceLabs, Intel and ESL, Inc. Mr. Moon holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Electrical Engineering from Santa Clara University.
