Senior Cybersecurity Subject Matter Expert/Project Lead at Troika Solutions

Joseph Scott Uchytil has held various positions in the United States Marine Corps since 1998. In 1998, they served as Plans Officer, G-6, Marine Corps Base Camp S. D. Butler, where they were responsible for planning, installing, and operating a wide area network (WAN) for Marine Corps installations aboard Okinawa, Japan. Joseph Scott also led, managed, and supervised large groups of Marines, government civilians, and contractors. In 2006, they were Deputy, G-6 (ARI), Headquarters United States Marine Corps, where they led, managed, mentored, and supervised a branch of 60+ Marines, government civilians and contractor personnel in the execution of information technology support for Headquarters, United States Marine Corps. In 2011, they were Operations Officer, CJ6 at NATO Training Mission-Afghanistan/Combined Security Transition Command-Afghanistan, where they were responsible for identifying, validating, and prioritizing all Afghan National Security Forces (ANSF) network expansion projects. In 2012, they were Head, Portfolio Management Branch, Command and Control Integration Division, CD&I, where they developed fiscally sound, capabilities driven, program objective memorandum (POM) submissions for the Division's portfolio of 29 command and control programs of record worth $2.1B across the Future Year\u2019s Defense Program (FYDP). In 2015, they were Executive Officer at United States Marine Corps, where they were responsible to the Commanding Officer for the training, mentoring, and overall management of an Information Technology/Cyberspace organization of 800+ military and civilian professionals tasked with providing cyber security services to Marine Corps units around the world. In 2018, they joined Troika Solutions as Senior Cybersecurity Subject Matter Expert/Project Lead.

Joseph Scott Uchytil has a well-rounded education history. Joseph Scott obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Criminal Justice Administration from San Diego State University between 1995 and 1997. Joseph Scott then went on to obtain a Master of Science (MS) in Information Technology Management from the Naval Postgraduate School between 2004 and 2006. Most recently, they obtained a Chief Information Officer Certificate in Information Resources Management from the National Defense University between 2010 and 2013. Joseph Scott also holds several additional certifications, including GIAC Security Leadership (GSLC) from GIAC Certifications in 2007, as well as Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) v3 Foundations and Continual Service Improvement.
