Barbara Freis

Barbara Freis currently serves as a Product Development Scientist at Tronox since August 2023. Previously, Barbara was a PhD candidate at IPCMS - CNRS from October 2019 to January 2023, focusing on the design of iron oxide nanoparticles for the diagnosis and treatment of head and neck cancers. Barbara's education includes a PhD in Chemistry from both the University of Strasbourg and UMONS, alongside a Diplome d'ingénieur in Material Chemistry and Nanosciences from ECPM. Additional experience includes a range of internships and teaching roles in the field of materials science and engineering, including synthesizing polymer electrolytes for lithium-sulfur batteries at Saft and optimizing HPTLC methods at BASF.
