Douglas Herrmann has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Douglas began their career at Eastman Kodak Company as a Manufacturing Manager from 1988 to 1992. Douglas then worked at SCM Chemicals as a Technical Service Manager from 1992 to 1996. Following this, they joined Millennium Inorganic Chemicals and held positions such as Global Market Manager and Market Manager - Americas - Coatings & Plastics from 1996 to 2003. From 2004 to 2011, they worked at Millennium Inorganic Chemicals as a Master Black Belt - Commercial and later as an Industry Sales Manager. Douglas then joined Cristal USA Inc. in 2011 and served as the Director of Quality from 2011 to 2015. From 2015 to 2019, they held the role of Principal Advisor - Strategy & Growth - M&A at Cristal USA Inc. Currently, they are working at Tronox since 2019 in roles such as Director - R&D and Technical Service - Americas, Director - newTRON Change Management, and currently serves as the Director - Business Development & Americas Sales Manager - Mineral Sands.

Douglas Herrmann obtained a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry & Paper Science and Engineering from Western Michigan University in the years 1980 to 1984. Douglas further pursued their education at Rochester Institute of Technology, where they completed a Master's degree in Quality & Applied Statistics from 1988 to 1991.
