Katy Hubbuck

Laboratory Technician at Tropic Biosciences

Katy Hubbuck began their work experience in 2018 as a Summer Research Intern at the University of Bristol. In this role, they collected and preserved insects, maintained a database, and provided updates to their supervisor.

In 2019, they worked as an Intern at Pukka Herbs, where they co-authored a business report, completed lab-based tasks, and organized meetings with employees from various departments.

During the same year, they also worked as a Customer Consultant at The Body Shop, where they supported the store management team, maintained stock levels, and completed inventory records.

Since 2020, Katy has been working as a Laboratory Technician for the Coffee Biotechnology team at Tropic Biosciences. Katy'sresponsibilities include maintaining plant tissue cultures, transforming and regenerating plants, and assisting with team projects and experiments.

Katy Hubbuck attended Crispin School from 2009 to 2014 and obtained 9 GCSEs, including 8 A* and 1 A. Katy then went on to Strode College from 2014 to 2016, where they completed their A-Levels in Biology (A*), Psychology (A*), and Geology (A), as well as attained an A in their AS Level Art. Finally, Katy attended the University of Bristol from 2016 to 2019, where they pursued a degree in Biological Sciences (Biology).
