Derek Thomson

Derek Thomson is the current director at the Tropical Marine Centre. Prior to this, they served as the head of business planning at genius foods from March 2013 to June 2016. Derek has also held the position of head of finance at finsbury food group from October 2007 to March 2013, and general manager at united central bakeries ltd. from July 1998 to August 2006. Derek Thomson began their career as a management trainee at halls of broxburn in January 1998, and later became a graduate trainee at devro (scotland) limited from January 1995 to January 1998.

Derek Thomson attended the University of Edinburgh School of Philosophy, Psychology and Language Sciences, where they earned a Bachelor of Engineering.
