Jay Chancellor

Jay Chancellor serves as the Southwest Regional Director for Trout Unlimited since March 2020, drawing on extensive experience in sustainability and conservation finance. Previous roles include Finance and Sustainability Consultant at Lifetime Wells International and Strategy Consultant at the Western Landowners Alliance, where a study was developed to fund rural communities and agriculture-focused nonprofits. Chancellor held various positions including Graduate Research Fellow at Beartooth Capital Partners, Outreach Consultant for the National Wildlife Federation, and Public Lands Fellow at the Natural Resources Defense Council, focusing on environmental advocacy and policy. Chancellor's early career involved significant political engagement as a Field Organizer for Organizing for America - Virginia and as a Policy Assistant for Obama for America.
