Doortje Smithuijsen is an accomplished journalist, columnist, and writer with diverse experience in the media industry. Currently serving as a columnist for Trouw, a writer for De Bezige Bij, and a documentary maker for NPO since 2019, Smithuijsen has also been a journalist for de Volkskrant since 2016.
