Doortje Smithuijsen

Doortje Smithuijsen is an accomplished journalist, columnist, and writer with diverse experience in the media industry. Currently serving as a columnist for Trouw, a writer for De Bezige Bij, and a documentary maker for NPO since 2019, Smithuijsen has also been a journalist for de Volkskrant since 2016. Smithuijsen holds two master's degrees from the University of Amsterdam, one in Journalism and the other in Philosophy, both completed between 2010 and 2017.
