Ella Santhagens currently serves as an Online (interactie) redacteur at EenVandaag since April 2023 and as an Online redacteur at Trouw since August 2022. Previous experience includes working as a freelance journalist for Het Parool from February 2021 to January 2023 and as a journalist at Trouw from March 2022 to June 2022. Ella also completed an internship at EenVandaag in the online editorial department from October 2020 to February 2021, and held the position of redactiestagiair at Kassa - BNNVARA from February 2020 to June 2020. Additionally, Ella worked as a sales employee at Sticks and Stones from February 2019 to May 2020. Ella is pursuing a Master's degree in Journalistiek en media at the University of Amsterdam, following a bachelor's degree obtained at the same institution from 2017 to 2020.

Trouw
Trouw is one of the three national quality newspapers in the Netherlands, and part of the Belgium publisher De Persgroep. In 2012 it received the award European Newspaper of the Year fot its concept of a 'daily weekly' and its design. It produces every day a newssection and a section 'De Verdieping' with background, analyses, reports en opinions. On saturday there are two extra magazines called Letter&Geest with essays and bookreviews and a magazine named Tijd with human interest-story's. It's orginally founded in 1943 as a resistance newspaper. Nowadays the newspaper takes special interests in politics, sustainability, education, healthcare and the role of religion and (new) religious groups in our rapidly changing society.
