Irfan Haider

Irfan Haider is an accomplished media professional with extensive experience in journalism and news production. Currently serving as a News Editor at TRT World since April 2016, Haider previously held the role of Staff Correspondent at Dawn Media Group, where coverage focused on significant political and societal issues in Islamabad. Additional roles include News Editor at PTV World, where responsibilities encompassed producing timely and accurate news content, and mentoring partner organizations at Internews Network. Haider began the career as a staff reporter and producer for various media outlets, including Datline Islamabad and SAMAA TV, and has a strong foundation in news reporting and editing from early positions at CNBC Pakistan and The Nation. Educationally, Haider holds a Master’s Degree in Mass Communication/Media Studies from the National University of Modern Languages and studied at the Missouri School of Journalism.
