Tom Urban

Tom Urban began their career in 1991 as a Mold Designer at Springfield Mold Works. Tom then moved to Madison CMP in 1998 as a Development Engineer where they were the lead designer on in-house design and build capital equipment projects. In 2003, they joined Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Product Development Engineer and Manufacturing Engineer. In 2008, they joined BAE Systems as a Senior Mechanical Engineer and Design Engineer. In 2013, they worked as a Senior Mechanical Engineer at L-3 Communications before becoming a Mechanical Engineering Contractor at GT Advanced Technologies. In 2018, they relocated to Henderson to become an Engineering Contractor at Xtreme Manufacturing, LLC. Finally, in 2019, they moved to the Phoenix area to join XStream Trucking as a Mechanical Engineer, focusing on engineering systems & design documentation development.

Tom Urban received a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 1998. Prior to this, they obtained an Associate's degree in Drafting & Design from Springfield Technical Community College in 1991. In 2019, they were certified as a Certified SolidWorks Professional (CSWP) by Dassault Systèmes.
