Hunter Simington has a diverse work experience spanning over several roles and companies. Hunter started their career in 2006 as a Teller/Bookkeeper at Ashton State Bank, where they assisted customers with banking needs and managed financial transactions. From 2009 to 2010, they worked as a Software Consultant at Maverick Software Consulting, collaborating with a remote team on various software development projects.

In 2010, Hunter joined HP and held multiple positions within the company. Hunter started as a Software Engineer, designing and building print-related software solutions on different platforms. Hunter then became a Software Solutions Project Manager, overseeing a team of engineers and contract workers. In 2017, they transitioned to the role of a Software Solutions Architect, responsible for aligning technical resources and strategy for the reinvention of print. Hunter eventually became a Master Software Solutions Architect, working on innovative solutions across different teams and organizations.

Since 2019, Hunter has been working at Truckstop.com. Hunter initially served as a Senior Solutions Architect, focusing on logistics pricing and valuation. Hunter evaluated existing applications and identified opportunities for improvement and re-platforming efforts. In 2021, they became the Lead Senior Solutions Architect, leading a team of architects and mentoring their growth. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Software Architecture, where they manage architectural resources and oversees product and business priorities.

Throughout their career, Hunter has gained experience in various project management styles, including agile, extreme, Kanban, and work in progress (WIP). Hunter has also worked with diverse clients and collaborated with developers both locally and remotely.

Hunter Simington earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Software Engineering from Iowa State University, where they attended from 2006 to 2010. Prior to that, they obtained a Diploma in General Education from Sheldon Community Senior High School, where they studied from 2002 to 2006. In addition to their formal education, Hunter has received additional certifications including "Cassandra Data Modeling Essential Training" from LinkedIn and certifications in "BIS Design Thinking" and "User Experience Champion Certified" from HP.
