Rui An

Rui An has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Currently, they are employed at True Anthem as a Data/Machine Learning Engineer since March 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Data Scientist Intern at True Anthem from May 2020 to July 2020.

Before joining True Anthem, Rui An was a Graduate Research Assistant at Georgia State University from August 2019 to May 2020. In this role, they focused on House Price Prediction and utilized Exploratory Data Analysis techniques to reduce features, automated processes using Python, and achieved a 8.9% MAPE (Mean Absolute Percentage Error) rate.

Prior to their time at Georgia State University, Rui An was a Transactional Data Analyst at Kinghey Group from April 2019 to August 2019. Here, they retrieved and analyzed data of millions of transactions using SQL, generated reports, and improved asset turnover rate through the creation of SQL scripts.

From February 2016 to February 2019, Rui An worked as an Operational Data Analyst at Kinghey Group. In this role, they automated the generation of daily operational reports, developed forecasting models using Power BI and Excel, and optimized warehouse management efficiency.

Rui An's earliest work experience was at Hualife Insurance Co., Ltd, where they held multiple roles. From February 2015 to February 2016, they served as the Program Manager of E-HR System. Prior to this, from January 2014 to February 2015, they worked as an Employee Relations Specialist, streamlining employee record management using Excel. Lastly, from June 2012 to December 2013, Rui An was an Operation Analyst, responsible for reporting performance metrics and generating operational reports for the board.

Rui An's education history begins in 2005 when they attended Nankai University and obtained a Bachelor's degree in Physics in 2009. Afterward, from 2010 to 2012, Rui An pursued a Master's degree in Economics at The University of Queensland. In 2019, they joined Georgia State University to pursue another Master's degree, this time in Analytics, which they completed in 2020. Alongside their educational qualifications, Rui An also holds a certification in Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Level 1 from the CFA Institute.
