Shannon Herbon

Shannon Herbon, M.A., serves as the Permitting Program Administrator and Public Information Manager for the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, overseeing media and legislative affairs for an eight-county district. Herbon is also a True Colors Certified Facilitator, specializing in identifying personality traits within organizations. Previous experience includes roles as Director of Communications and Marketing at the Museum of Science & Industry, where Herbon achieved significant publicity, and as Public Relations Manager for the Straz Center for the Performing Arts, generating record publicity for major events. Additional positions include principal at S&A Media, Publicity Specialist for the People's Princess Charitable Foundation, and Community Relations Specialist at Metropolitan Ministries. Herbon holds a Master’s degree in Communications from the University of South Florida and a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations from the University of Florida.
