Mac Owens

Mac Owens is a seasoned investment professional with significant experience in private markets and alternative investments. Currently serving as the Director of Investments at True North Advisors since October 2024, Mac previously held the position of Director of Private Markets at American Beacon Advisors from October 2011 to October 2024, where oversight of a $4 billion private markets program for the $12 billion American Airlines, Inc. employee pension was a key responsibility. Prior to this, Mac managed the private markets portfolio at the Louisiana State Employees Retirement System as Investments Manager-Private Equity from August 2005 to October 2011. Mac's academic credentials include an MBA in Finance from Louisiana State University and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from The University of Alabama.
