Paul Powell

Paul Powell currently serves as the Founding Director at Florida Charter Institute at Miami Dade College and as the Executive Director of True North Classical Academy, both positions held since July 2023. With extensive experience in educational leadership, Paul has been the Regional Superintendent of Instruction at Uncommon Schools since 2014, where previous roles included Assistant Superintendent and Associate Managing Director. Additionally, Paul is the Founder and President of Powell Consulting, a role held since May 2014. Previously, Paul was the Principal at True North Troy Preparatory Charter School from 2008 to 2014 and served as Program Director for Teach for America from 2005 to 2007. Paul holds a BA in Mathematics from Goucher College and an MA in Secondary Mathematics Education from Loyola Marymount University.
