Brook Schoenfield has extensive work experience in the field of information security, having started their career as an engineer at InnoSys Incorporated in 1988. Schoenfield went on to work at a variety of companies in increasingly senior roles, including Cisco Systems, Autodesk, McAfee, IOActive, True Positives, and Resilient Software Security. Schoenfield's roles have included Principal Engineer, Director of Product Security Architecture, Enterprise Security Architect, and Chief Technology Officer & Chief Security Architect. At each company, Schoenfield was responsible for leading and advising on the development of software security programs, training and mentoring consultants, and ensuring that IT/IS environments are secure. Schoenfield's extensive experience in the field of information security has positioned him as a respected authority on the subject, and they have published a book, "Securing Systems: Applied Security Architecture and Threat Models".
Brook Schoenfield obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology and Art History from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 1973. Brook then went on to earn a Master of Business Administration degree from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo in 1976, with a focus on Finance, Macro Economics, and Automation. In 2011, they also obtained the GIAC GWEB certification from GIAC.
