David Mohr

David Mohr has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of database administration. David started their career as an IT Operations Supervisor at Life Fitness in 1987, where they were responsible for system backups, vendor maintenance, and staff supervision. David then became a Database/Systems Administrator, excelling in deploying Oracle databases on UNIX systems.

In 1991, Mohr joined Boeing as a Database Administrator, where they designed, created, and maintained multiple Oracle databases for airplane sheet metal fabrication applications. David eventually became the senior lead responsible for the entire fabrication division's database operations.

Mohr worked as a Consultant Database Administrator at Solutions IQ in 1994 and then joined Regence BlueShield in 1995 as a Database Engineer, overseeing the administration of all Oracle databases for Pierce County Medical/Regence Blue Shield. David was involved in data modeling and implemented backup and recovery plans.

In 1997, Mohr joined REI as a Sr. Database Administrator and later became the Lead Database Engineer. In addition to their technical duties, they assisted the manager with resource planning, budget due-diligence, problem-solving, and team coordination.

From 2013 to 2018, Mohr worked at MultiCare Health System as a Database Administrator III and Epic Clarity Administrator. David led the DBA team and played a key role in migrating the Epic Clarity Cogito reporting database from Oracle to SQL Server.

Most recently, since 2018, Mohr has been working at TrueBlue Inc. as a Senior Database Administrator and currently serves as the Lead Database Administrator. David has been performing typical support and maintenance duties for various databases in the AWS cloud, with a focus on migrating platform stacks to the cloud.

David Mohr has a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Computation, with a focus on Zoology and Computer Science, from Washington State University. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained several certifications, including "Green Jobs for Sustainable Careers" from LinkedIn in July 2022, "Getting Things Done" from LinkedIn in March 2021, "Amazon Web Services Cloud Practitioner" from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in July 2020, "AWS Foundational Concepts" from Linux Academy in February 2019, and "AWS Concepts" from Linux Academy in January 2019.
