Dan Hale has a diverse range of work experience in software engineering. Dan worked at TruGolf from 2013, where they added features and fixed bugs in their golfing simulator software using mainly C++ code. Prior to that, from 2009 to 2013, they were a software engineer at Applied Signal Technology, where they developed GUIs for networking and communications hardware using C++ and Qt. Dan also worked at Aquaveo in 2008, where they focused on user interface, bug fixing, and adding usability features for software that modeled water flow. In 2007, they worked as a gameplay programmer at Sensory Sweep, responsible for writing game code and implementing various features. Finally, from 2005 to 2007, they maintained the openEMR project and provided custom features for client hospitals at Possibility Forge, gaining expertise in electronic billing formats.
Dan Hale obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Dixie State University, where they studied from 2001 to 2005. Dan later pursued their various side interests by taking online lectures from The Great Courses in 2012 and beyond, but without receiving a specific degree.
