Cathy Efird

Cathy Efird is currently the Senior Vice President of CIG Business Unit Risk Management - Internal Control Monitoring at Truist, a position held since 2020. Previously, from 2015 to 2020, Cathy served as an Operational Risk Manager at BB&T Securities, where responsibilities included implementing the firm's Risk and Control Self-Assessment and promoting an internal control culture. Cathy's career began with experience as a Risk Management Analyst at BB&T, where valuable skills in credit and market risk management were developed. Cathy earned a degree from the University of Virginia between 1997 and 2001.
