Derrick Buie

Derrick Buie has extensive experience in technology and cybersecurity management, having held various leadership roles since 2003. At Truist, Derrick served as Group Technology Director for Corporate Cyber Security and Head of Technology Governance for Enterprise Platforms & Operations from December 2019 to February 2022. Prior to that, Derrick worked at SunTrust for nearly six years, progressing through roles including Head of IT Service Management Office and Senior Vice President of Application Production Support. Derrick's career began at General Motors, where key positions included Senior Operations Manager and Global Service Contract Leader. Derrick holds a Master’s degree in Information Resource Management from Central Michigan University and a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Tuskegee University.
