Jim MacKin

Jim Mackin is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in data, cloud architecture, and engineering solutions. Currently serving as the Head of Data Enterprise Architecture and Head of Enterprise Platform and Cloud Architecture at Truist since December 2019, Jim previously held the role of Head of Cloud Architecture at BB&T, where responsibilities included managing cloud strategy and architecture. With a rich background at Fidelity Investments from June 2005 to September 2018, Jim made significant contributions in establishing a Data Analytics/Machine Learning platform and expertise in resiliency architecture, chaos engineering, and CI/CD practices. Jim has held various engineering and architect roles at firms like Affinnova, Supplyworks, and Microsoft, showcasing a strong technical foundation in software development, cloud governance, and application monitoring. Jim earned a B.A. in Biology from the University of Delaware.
