Mario Hernandez

Mario Hernandez is an accomplished professional in cyber security and compliance with extensive experience in various roles. Currently serving as Vice President and Cyber Security Compliance Senior Consultant at Truist since December 2015, Mario engages with lines of business to ensure adherence to regulatory standards and the implementation of technical controls to safeguard digital assets. Previous roles include Governance, Risk and Compliance Liaison and Information Security Officer at Truist, as well as Project Manager positions at First Citizens Bank and Integrated Security & Communications, where Mario focused on cyber security projects and client communication. Mario’s educational background includes an MBA from North Carolina State University, an MS in Network Security from DePaul University, an M.Ed. in Education, and a BS in Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunications. Additionally, Mario served as a Corporal in the United States Marine Corps from 1992 to 1997.
