Michael Fender

Michael Fender is an experienced IT professional specializing in data systems engineering and security. Currently serving as Vice President and Lead Data Systems Engineer at Truist since January 2021, Michael has a strong background in Splunk architecture and engineering, having previously held similar roles at BB&T from February 2018 to January 2021. Michael’s career also includes significant positions such as Senior Security Engineer at GuidePoint Security, Senior Network Engineer at Alphanumeric Systems, and various engineering and IT management roles across organizations including UNC Health Care, Rex Healthcare, and the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services. Michael's education includes Cisco Academy Training in Information Technology and completion of the US Navy Electronics "A" School.
