Brian Mateo

Brian Mateo serves as the Deputy Director of Programs and Partnerships at the Carnegie Council for Ethics in International Affairs since July 2024, focusing on program development and partnership enhancement. Brian is also a Term Member at the Council on Foreign Relations and a Security Fellow at the Truman National Security Project. Previously, Brian held the role of Associate Dean of Civic Engagement at Bard College from June 2010 to July 2024, overseeing global initiatives and curriculum development while supporting refugee engagement programs. Additional roles include Director of Strategic Partnerships for the Bard Globalization and International Affairs Program, a member of the Board of Trustees at the Carnegie Council, and an Associate Fellow at the World Policy Institute. Brian holds a Master's Degree in College Student Affairs and a Bachelor's Degree in Biobehavioral Health from Penn State University.
