Trump Winery prides itself in making quality, terroir driven wines in the heart of the Monticello AVA. With an elevation range of 600 and 1,000 feet, high density plantings, and an emphasis on sustainable practices, we craft sparkling, white, and red wines that can compete with the best wines from around the world. The sparkling vineyards are planted in Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. The sites were chosen for their cooler terroir. These unique microclimates help preserve natural acidity and minerality needed to make truly great sparkling wine. Our sparkling wines are made via Méthode Champenoise, the traditional method used in Champagne, where the second fermentation is done in the bottle. Trump Winery’s sparkling wines have been named Top Ten American Sparkling Wine and been compared to the finest Champagnes. Our white vineyards are planted in Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Sémillon and Viognier. The white wines are designed to be fruit forward and expressive. We use a combination of French Oak and stainless steel vinification to produce wines that reflect varietal characteristics. The Viognier and Sauvignon Blanc have both received Best-in-Class awards at international competitions. Our red vineyards were planted with in traditional Bordeaux varietals: Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petite Verdot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec. Planted on south facing slopes in high density to achieve grapes with maximum maturity, our Bordeaux style blends are marked by complexity and depth. Our grapes are hand picked, hand sorted, and fed by gravity into our winemaking facility and then age in French Oak barrels for a period of 12-18 months before blending and bottling.
