Wijnand Jongen

Wijnand Jongen is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the e-commerce sector. Currently serving as the Chairman of the Supervisory Board at Trunkrs since January 2024, Jongen has also held the position of President of Ecommerce Europe since February 2012, playing a key role in unifying the digital e-commerce industry in Europe. As Chairman of the Executive Committee of Ecommerce Europe, Jongen has contributed significantly to the representation of online businesses across Europe. Previously, Jongen served as Chairperson of the Board at Dwarfs from December 2020 to January 2024 and was the Founder and CEO of Thuiswinkel.org until December 2021. Jongen co-founded Macropolis, the first Dutch organization to compare online shops, and has a solid educational background, including a Doctorate in Educational Sciences from the University of Amsterdam and an MBA in Business Administration from Averett University.
