Heather Buckingham

Heather Buckingham is an accomplished professional in the charity sector, currently serving as a Social Change Advisor at The Trussell Trust since July 2019, where responsibilities include delivering thought leadership and developing organizational strategy. Previous roles at The Trussell Trust include Director of Policy, Research and Impact (Interim), where oversight of policy influencing and research activities occurred, and Head of Impact and Evidence, where pioneering evaluation practices and audience insight research were significant achievements. Heather has also contributed to academia as a Visiting Lecturer and Honorary Visiting Fellow, while previous positions include Director of Research and Policy at the Church Urban Fund and various research roles at the University of Birmingham and University of Southampton, culminating in a Ph.D. in Sociology and Social Policy.
