Angela Russell has a diverse work experience spanning multiple organizations and roles. Angela currently works at TruStage as the Chief Diversity Officer. Prior to this role, they served as the Vice President of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at TruStage. Angela also held positions such as Director and Manager of Diversity & Inclusion at the same company. Before joining TruStage, they worked at Public Health Madison and Dane County as a Health Equity Coordinator, where they provided consultation on integrating health and racial equity principles within the organization. Additionally, Angela held the position of Community Engagement Lead at UW-Madison, Population Health Institute, where they executed community engagement strategies for the annual release of the County Health Rankings. Angela also worked at the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families as a Division Administrator and Director of External Affairs and Government Relations. Angela's earlier experiences include working as a Policy Advisor at the Office of Governor Jim Doyle and as an Epidemiologist at the Wisconsin Department of Health Services.

Angela Russell earned a Bachelor of Science degree with Honors in Biochemistry from Beloit College in the years 1995 to 1999. Angela then obtained a Master of Science degree in Population Health from UW School of Medicine and Public Health from 1999 to 2001. Furthermore, Angela Russell completed the Black Executive Leadership Program at McKinsey & Company in 2021.
