Bill Byrd

Vice President, Product Risk Management & Corporate Risk Transfer at TruStage

Bill Byrd has over 25 years of work experience. Bill started their career as a Production Coordinator at Valvoline in 1995. Bill then worked at Monitor Liability Managers as a Senior Underwriter and Team Leader from 1997 to 2001. In 2001, they joined Zurich as a Vice President and Regional Manager until 2008. From 2008 to 2010, they held the position of Director of Staff Underwriting, Credit Union Protection at TruStage. Bill then became the Director of Corporate Underwriting at TruStage from 2010 to 2014. In 2014, they were promoted to Vice President, Risk Transfer at TruStage. Most recently, in 2019, they took on the role of Vice President, Product Risk Management & Corporate Risk Transfer at TruStage. Throughout their career, Bill has demonstrated expertise in underwriting and risk management.

Bill Byrd completed their education with a B.A. in English from Boston University in the years 1991 to 1993. Prior to that, they obtained an Associates Degree from Triton College between 1989 and 1991. Bill has also acquired various additional certifications from LinkedIn in 2020, including "PowerPoint: Designing Better Slides," "Creative Thinking," "Excel Business Intelligence: Data Modeling 101," "Betty Liu on Career Success," "Learning Personal Branding," "Sheryl Sandberg and Adam Grant on Option B: Building Resilience," "Strategic Thinking," and "Take a More Creative Approach to Problem-Solving."
