Shirley Shu-Hurley

Shirley Shu-Hurley, M.B.A., CPA, PMP®, SMC, MCSA, DOL, MTA has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Shirley is currently serving as the Vice President of Finance and Accounting at TrustBridge Global Foundation, where they handle multi-country, multi-entity, and multi-currency accounting as well as acts as a liaison between the business and IT teams. Prior to this, Shirley worked as an Accountant at the same organization, where they managed fund-level accounting and served as a business analyst.

Shirley is the Founder and Management Consultant at Idagen Consulting since 2017, where they provide guidance to clients on strategy, marketing, management transformation, process improvement, and project management. Shirley has also worked as a Chief Financial Officer (project-based) at FACTION MEDIA GROUP, contributing to financial strategy and rebuilding the corporate accounting functions of the production company.

In their previous roles, Shirley worked as a Business Analyst at DONG Energy, spearheading a strategic project on offshore wind vs oil and gas generation. Shirley also gained extensive experience in finance and accounting at China National Petroleum Corporation, where they served as a Senior Controller, Associate Director, and Financial Analyst in the Assets Department. In these positions, they managed accounting functions, conducted financial analysis, and provided recommendations for improvement.

Shirley Shu-Hurley has a strong educational background with a focus on business and finance. Shirley obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Durham University Business School in 2017, specializing in Business Administration and Management. Shirley also completed a pathway to Certified Public Accountant (CPA) program at the University of South Florida in 2020, with a concentration in Accounting and Finance. Additionally, Shirley participated in an exchange program in International Business at Universitat Pompeu Fabra in 2017. In 2006, they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Financial Management from Daqing Petroleum Institute, with a minor in Law.

Shirley has acquired numerous additional certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge in various areas. Some of their certifications include Project Management Professional (PMP®) from the Project Management Institute, Scrum Master Certified (SMC) from SCRUMstudy, and Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA) from Microsoft. Shirley has also completed several online courses, such as Fintech specialization from Wharton Online and Tableau Essential Training from LinkedIn.

Currently, Shirley has enrolled in Enterprise Blockchain Architect Course from Udemy and Digital Transformation Specialist Certifications from Copenhagen Business School to further expand their expertise.
