Dr. Erin Griggs

Senior Modeling & Simulation Engineer at Trusted Space

Dr. Erin Griggs has extensive work experience in the aerospace industry. Dr. Erin started their career as an Undergraduate Intern at ULA - United Launch Alliance - Lockheed Martin & Boeing in 2006 and then worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at Colorado School of Mines from 2007 to 2008. Dr. Erin then joined Lockheed Martin as a Software Engineer from 2008 to 2010. In 2010, they became a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Colorado and also worked as an Aerospace Consultant at Broad Reach Engineering during the same period. From 2013 to 2014, they worked as a Graduate Student Intern at Jet Propulsion Laboratory. In 2015, they joined PlanetiQ as a Sr. Space Mission Designer and worked there until 2020. Currently, they are a Senior Modeling & Simulation Engineer at Trusted Space, Inc.

Dr. Erin Griggs holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical/Space Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder, which they obtained from 2010 to 2015. Prior to that, they earned a Master's degree in Applied Mathematics from the Colorado School of Mines, completing the program from 2007 to 2008. Dr. Griggs also holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mathematics and Computer Science, with a focus on Computer Science, from the Colorado School of Mines, which they received in 2007. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained the "Satellite Tool Kit Certified" certification from AGI in May 2012. Dr. Griggs also completed several online courses, including "Inclusive Leadership: The Power of Workplace Diversity" from Coursera in January 2022, "Python Basics" from Coursera in March 2021, and "Spanish Vocabulary: Meeting People" from Coursera in January 2021.
