Andrew Lihao Hu

Andrew Lihao Hu has a diverse work experience. In 2021, they worked as a Software Engineer at TrustLayer, where they identified key areas of performance bottlenecks and lead the effort to increase codebase coverage and facilitate test-writing with Cypress component testing. Andrew Lihao also improved the developer experience by migrating the codebase from Flow to TypeScript type system. Andrew Lihao also worked as a Full Stack Engineer, where they owned the entire lifecycle of the product, from stakeholders' requirements analysis to website development and deployment. In 2019, they worked as a Full Stack Engineer at Manulife Asset Management, where they automated the production of more than 2000 fund fact sheets for 8 Asian countries/cities, saving over a million USD. Andrew Lihao also mentored and trained offshore developers and developed small workshops on the internal tools and processes. In 2018, they worked as a Software Development Consultant at FDM Group.

Andrew Lihao Hu has a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Finance from Università Bocconi, which they obtained between 2011 and 2014. Andrew Lihao then attended a Chinese Language Course at Tsinghua University between 2015 and 2016. Finally, they obtained a Master's degree in Management Information Systems, General from City University of Hong Kong in 2018.
