Sharon Fox has extensive work experience in the insurance and insurtech industry. Currently, they are the VP of Partnerships & Strategy at TrustLayer, where they focus on developing partner programs and ensuring value delivery to partners. Prior to this role, they served as the Director of Business Development at TrustLayer, leading sales initiatives and strategies. Sharon has also worked as an Insurtech Advisor for three privately held insurtech companies, where they provided guidance on go-to-market strategies and sales processes. Sharon is a Council Member at the Forbes Business Development Council and a Member of Partnership Leaders. Sharon previously served as the President & Principal Consultant at Mitigate Consultants, where they provided business analyst services to small and medium-sized firms. Before that, they were a Senior Account Executive at Indio Technologies Inc., leading their entry into the Canadian marketplace and developing training materials. Sharon's earlier experience includes roles as an Account Executive and Account Coordinator at Aon Risk Solutions, where they consulted on risk transfer solutions and supported clients with contract reviews and claim progression. Sharon began their career as a Claims Adjuster at TD Insurance.
Sharon Fox, CIP, CRM, has an extensive education history in the field of insurance. Sharon first attended Seneca College from 2010 to 2013, where they studied Business Administration with a focus on insurance. After completing their studies, Sharon pursued further professional certifications. In 2012 and 2013, they attended the Insurance Institute of Canada to become a Chartered Insurance Professional. Following this, Sharon enrolled at the University of Toronto from 2015 to 2016 to obtain their Certified Risk Manager (CRM/ARM) certification.
In addition to their educational background, Sharon has also obtained several additional certifications. In 2017, they completed a Digital Marketing certification at CampTech and an Entrepreneurship 101 course at MaRS Discovery District. Furthermore, they became a Registered Insurance Broker of Ontario in the same year through the Registered Insurance Brokers of Ontario (RIBO) institution.
