Addisu Tesfaye Turi

Addisu Tesfaye Turi has a strong background in technology and IT. Addisu Tesfaye started their career at World Vision as a Network Administrator in 2000 and worked there until 2004. Addisu Tesfaye then joined Save the Children as a Network Engineer for a brief period in 2004. In 2005, they moved on to NSDAR where they held the position of Network Engineer until 2007. In the same year, they joined Truth Initiative as a Director of IT and worked their way up to Managing Director, Vice President, and currently holds the position of Senior Vice President of Technology.

Addisu Tesfaye Turi completed their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Mathematics from Addis Ababa University between 1994 and 1998. Addisu Tesfaye then pursued a Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Science from Hilcoe School of Computer Science and Technology from 1999 to 2001. Following this, Addisu obtained a Master's degree in Information Systems Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University, studying from 2009 to 2011. In addition to their academic qualifications, they have obtained several certifications including Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)², Cisco Certified Network Associate Routing and Switching (CCNA) from Cisco, Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA), and Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer: Security (MCSE) from Microsoft.
