Astrid Schroeder

Dr. Astrid Schroeder has over 20 years’ experience in clinical diagnostic. She received her M.S. and Ph.D. in Biophysics and Virology from Heinrich-Heine-University in Duesseldorf (Germany) and started working for Qiagen in Germany. She then completed her post-doctoral training in Virology at the Salk Institute for Biological studies in La Jolla in 2002. After this she joined the start-up company Nanogen in San Diego and worked subsequently for Gen-Probe/Hologic, GenMarkDX, and ChromaCode before she joined Truvian Health as Sr. Director in Assay Development. She served as a CSLI committee member in writing guidance documents for assay development of IVD regulated assays directed towards clinical laboratories and companies.
