Jim Mochel has over 15 years of work experience. Jim began their career in 2003 as a Senior Software Engineer at IBM. In 2009, they became a Principal Software Engineer at The FeedRoom, where they radically re-factored existing legacy SaaS application, designed and implemented new features, and implemented automation of continuous integration. Jim also introduced some agile processes. In 2010, they moved to TimeTrade Systems, Inc. as a Principal Consultant, where they worked initially as a sales engineer and introduced agile processes and continuous integration. Jim also implemented and supported a wide range of enterprise-level features and data integrations. In 2013, they became a Senior Software Engineer at Cisco/Experis. In 2017, they moved to MIB Group, Inc. as a Sr. Software Engineer. In 2019, they became a Sr Software Engineer at TRUX, and a Principal Software Engineer at ronoco. Jim has also been a Self Expression and Leadership Program Course Leader at Landmark Education since 2008.

Jim Mochel attended Bard College at Simon's Rock from 1980 to 1982, where they earned an Associate of Arts (AA) in Pre-med. Jim then attended Worcester Polytechnic Institute from 1982 to 1986, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Chemistry.
