Karl Ove Aarbu

Karl Ove Aarbu is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the fields of pricing, data science, and portfolio management. Currently serving as Director and Tech Lead at Tryg Norge since February 2022 and as a Board Member at Samfunns- og næringslivsforskning since September 2023, Karl Ove also contributes to the Norwegian Cognitive Center as a member of the advisory board. Holding the position of Adjunct Associate Professor at NHH - Norwegian School of Economics since January 2019, Karl Ove has previously held roles including Head of Customer & Claim Analytics and Nordic Lead Modeller at Tryg from 2017 to 2023. Academic credentials include a PhD in Economics from the Norwegian School of Economics and a Cand Polit from the University of Oslo, complemented by experience in various leadership and advisory roles across the insurance and finance sectors, including time at the Ministry of Finance.
