Gillian Y.

Gillian Y. has a diverse work experience, beginning in 1999 as an Intern in the Customer Refund Department at Rangkaian Segar Sdn Bhd. Gillian then moved on to become an Intern in the Human Resource and Administration Department at Faber Group Berhad in 2000, and an Intern in the Tax and Legal Department at PricewaterhouseCoopers in 2002. In 2005, they were an Accounting Assistant at The Asia Foundation. In 2006, they began working at Give2Asia as a Program Associate and was promoted to Associate Program Officer and then Senior Program Officer (equivalent to Sr. Customer Success Manager). In 2013, they were a Senior Director at Kordant Philanthropy Advisors and a Volunteer Advisory Board Member at iLEAP's SALI Program. In 2014, they became a Senior Customer Success Manager at LeadGenius and then Head of Leave Operations in 2019 at Sparrow, a software company that makes it simple for companies to provide their employees with leave.

Gillian Y. began their educational journey in 1994 when they attended Convent Secondary School and obtained a Cambridge GCE O-Level Equivalent in the Science stream. In 1999, they attended Kolej Yayasan UEM and obtained a Cambridge GCE A-Level in Accounting and Finance. From 2001 to 2004, they attended Nanyang Technological University Singapore and obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Accounting. From 2004 to 2005, they attended Carleton College and completed a Non-degree Postgraduate Program in Political Science and Studio Arts. In 2003, Gillian Y. obtained a Rescue Scuba Diver certification from PADI. In 1998, they obtained a Black Belt Certification (BB) from Taekwon-Do International.
