Shern Shern Yap

Shern Shern Yap has a diverse work experience spanning various companies and roles. In 2014, they joined Singtel as a Planning Manager, where they led procurement and tender processes for a virtual evolved packet core mega-tender. Shern Shern also served as a Management Associate at Singtel, overseeing the implementation of the WorkForce Management system.

In 2018, Shern Shern worked as a Machine Learning Engineer at UrbanZoom. The following year, they joined Almond.ai as a Machine Learning Research Engineer, focusing on integrating various Human Language Technologies into prototypes.

In 2020, they became a Senior Data Science Engineer at Singapore Airlines, a role they held until 2021. During their time there, they worked on various data science projects.

From 2021 to 2022, Shern Shern was a Data Scientist at StarHub, where they were part of the Smarthub Product team. Shern Shern'sresponsibilities included developing data products with effective ML/DL pipelines and solutions and modernizing the Cloud ML Platform.

Currently, they are working as a Data Scientist at TSC.ai, starting in 2022.

Shern Shern Yap pursued a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Honours) with a specialization in Electrical from the University of Melbourne between 2009 and 2012. After that, they attended Anglo-Chinese Junior College from 2007 to 2008, where they obtained their GCE 'A' levels certificate in the pre-University field of study.

More recently, Shern Shern Yap enrolled in the National University of Singapore from 2018 to 2019, where they completed a Master's degree in Computing.

In addition to their formal education, Shern Shern Yap has acquired several certifications. Shern Shern received a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification from Scrum Alliance in October 2022. It is worth noting that Shern Shern Yap obtained the Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification in October 2022, which is after the other certifications listed.
