Amanda Phelka

Amanda Phelka has extensive experience in the field of toxicology. Amanda currently serves as a Principal Consultant at TSG Consulting, a position they have held since 2020. Prior to this, they were the Director of Toxicology Services at NSF International from 2012 to 2020. In this role, they were the primary liaison with internal and external clients for all toxicology and risk assessment services. Amanda also provided technical guidance and leadership to the department management team. From 2004 to 2012, Phelka was a Supervising Health Scientist at Cardno ChemRisk. From 1997 to 2004, they were a Research Toxicologist at NSF International, where they conducted formulation reviews and test report evaluations for products seeking certification to drinking water standards.

Amanda Phelka completed their Bachelor's degree in Biology and Chemistry at Adrian College between 1991 and 1995. Amanda then went on to the University of Michigan School of Public Health to obtain their Master of Science (MS) in Toxicology, which they completed in 1997. Finally, they returned to the University of Michigan School of Public Health to obtain their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Toxicology, which they completed in 2004.
