Richard Bishop

Richard Bishop has over 19 years of experience in health, safety, and environmental management. In 2021, they began working as the Operations Director at TSG Consulting, focusing on governance, compliance and delivery. Additionally, they provide consultancy services on TSG's Chemical Compliance, Stewardship and Sustainability (CCSS) team. From 2002 to 2021, Bishop worked at the Health and Safety Executive as an HM Principal Inspector (Chemicals). During this time, they were Head of Enforcement for the Chemicals Regulation Division (CRD) and a Regulatory Inspector for the Hazardous Installations Directorate (HID). In 2014, they began working as an Academic Tutor at the University of Sunderland. In 2015, they began working at Sterling Pharma Solutions as the Health, Safety & Environment Manager, where they were responsible for health, safety, regulatory, and environmental matters.

Richard Bishop completed a High School degree at Forest School between 1986 and 1996. Richard then went on to obtain a Bachelor's Degree in Law (LLB) at the University of Nottingham between 1996 and 1999. In 2003 and 2004, they earned a Postgraduate Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety from Heriot-Watt University. In 2009, they received an IOSH Certificate in Managing Environmental Responsibilities and an IEMA Certificate in Environmental Management from the University of Sunderland.
