Dr. Alina Gales has a diverse work experience. Dr. Alina currently holds the position of Head of Staff Unit Diversity & Equal Opportunities at Technical University of Munich, starting in 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Diversity Manager at the same university from 2021 to 2023. In 2020, they worked as a Speaker & Advocate in their own company. From 2019 to 2021, they held a role as a PhD Scholarship Stipendiary at Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung. In 2018 and 2019, they worked as part of the Diversity Management & Communication Board Office CBTO and focused on Communication & Change Management at Allianz. Dr. Alina also gained experience as a Social Media Manager and Junior PR Manager at STILART Public Relations from 2016 to 2018. In 2013, they served as a Public Relations Intern at L'Oréal Paris, and as a Working Student Strategic Marketing at Roche Diagnostics from 2010 to 2012.
Dr. Alina Gales completed their education as follows:
- From 2017 to 2021, they pursued a Ph.D. degree in Gender Studies in Engineering & Science from the Technical University of Munich.
- In 2019, they were a Visiting Researcher at the University of California, Berkeley.
- In 2014 and 2015, they obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Communication Science from the University of Amsterdam.
- In 2012, they participated in a Semester Abroad program at the National University of Singapore, focusing on Communications and New Media.
- Dr. Alina earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Media and Communication Science from the University of Mannheim from 2010 to 2013.
