Jakob Schneider

Jakob Schneider is an experienced professional in automotive technology, currently serving as Team Lead for EV System Design at Technische Universität München since June 2021. Leading a research team of five PhD students, Jakob focuses on the electrification, benchmarking, and sustainability of battery electric vehicles and machinery. Previous roles include Research Associate and PhD student at the same institution, where responsibilities included lecture supervision and involvement in a significant research project on heavy-duty truck charging standards. Jakob has also contributed as a Visiting Researcher at Chalmers University of Technology and held positions as a Simulation Engineer at ASAP Gruppe and R&D roles at Porsche AG and BMW Group. Educational credentials include a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Technical University of Munich.
