Yitian Jia

Yitian Jia has a diverse work experience in the field of machine learning and software engineering. Yitian worked as a Senior Tech Lead at Tubi since August 2021, where they are responsible for leading the development of machine learning technologies. Prior to that, they were a Senior Engineer at Tubi from March 2018 to July 2021.

Before joining Tubi, Yitian worked at DiDi as a Senior Software Engineer from February 2016 to February 2018. During their time at DiDi, they focused on the SDP (Supply-Demand Prediction) project, where they designed and built predictive models for demand regression and supply-demand gap classification. Yitian also implemented state-of-the-art models to optimize model performance.

Prior to DiDi, Yitian worked at Meituan as a Software Engineer from July 2014 to February 2016. Here, they contributed to the development and maintenance of a microservice for the hotel ranking system. Yitian also designed and built machine learning pipelines for CTR (Click-Through Rate) and CVR (Conversion Rate) models. Additionally, Yitian had an internship position at Meituan as a Software Engineer Intern from December 2013 to June 2014.

Yitian's early work experience includes an internship at Microsoft as a Software Engineer Intern from June 2013 to November 2013. During this internship, they participated in the development of Bugsearcher, an internal tool, and its monitoring service. Yitian also transplanted Ford's open source product AppLink from POSIX to Windows.

Yitian Jia obtained a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Zhejiang University, where they studied from 2008 to 2012. Following that, they pursued a Master of Engineering degree in Computer Software Engineering at the same institution, completing it in 2014. In July 2014, Yitian Jia also obtained certification in "The Data Scientist's Toolbox" from Coursera.
