Ken is an experienced litigator who has spent his entire career protecting client’s interests. Ken has a diverse group of clients including: electric and telecommunications utilities, nursing homes, regional hospitals and urgent care centers, home health care providers, property investment/management companies, home goods manufacturers, and various non-profit organizations.

Ken has significant trial experience at the Court of Common Pleas level. He has also represented clients in countless magisterial district court matters, and has argued before the Superior Court. The bulk of Ken’s regular litigation practice involves depositions, mediations, motions practice, arbitration hearings and hearings at the Workers’ Compensation Office of Adjudication (statewide), as well as the Administrative Law Judges of the U.S. Department of Labor. Ken’s practice also involves tax assessment appeal hearings, and Board of Viewers hearings for the purpose of both tax assessment appeals, and eminent domain litigation. In 2017, Ken successfully negotiated a multi-million dollar recovery for a local business whose property was taken via eminent domain by the PA Turnpike Commission. Ken has also recovered financial compensation for clients whose land is taken via eminent domain by PennDOT.

Ken’s work as a defense attorney includes service on insurance carrier panels, as well as defense for self-insured businesses. Ken also works with clients who maintain off shore captives for insurance coverage. Ken’s defense work in asbestos/mesothelioma litigation has included multiple successful claim dismissals in favor of his employer clients. Ken serves in an advisory role for clients on a day-to-day basis, but is also called upon to appear in Court on a regular basis.

Ken has been involved in the non-profit sector for a bulk of his career. Ken recently finished a three year term as President of the Board of Trustees of The Early Learning Institute (“TELI”), a local non-profit that provides early intervention services for children with special needs. Ken has been on the Board at TELI for ten years. Ken has also successfully represented non-profit organizations with issues including Board disputes, management and litigation.
