Richard Atkinson has extensive experience in the legal field, currently serving as President of The Law Society since October 2024. Prior to this role, Richard held various leadership positions including Managing Partner at Tuckers Solicitors LLP and Tuckers Solicitors Kent Branch since December 2013, Vice President of the Law Society of England & Wales from October 2023 to October 2024, and Deputy Vice President of The Law Society from October 2022 to October 2023. Richard also served as President of the Kent Law Society from May 2018 to May 2019 and began a legal career as a Solicitor with Robin Murray Co from September 1990 to December 2013. Richard Atkinson holds a B.Sc.(Econ.) in Economics along with CPE and Law Society Finals from UWIST and the College of Law, completed between 1983 and 1988.
