Joe Salkowski

Joe Salkowski has extensive work experience in communications, public affairs, and government relations. Joe started their career as a Reporter/Columnist for the Arizona Daily Star in 1989, where they covered a wide range of subjects with a focus on government and beat coverage of various topics. In 1999, they worked as a Columnist for Tribune Media Services.

Joe then transitioned into the corporate sector, joining Tucson Electric Power in 2002. Joe held various roles, including Corporate Communications Specialist, Manager of Corporate Communications, Manager of Government Relations, Manager of Regulatory Services, and Manager of Corporate Communications and Community Relations. In these positions, Joe managed and executed external, internal, online, regulatory, and customer communications. Joe also oversaw communications, government relations, and community affairs activities for Tucson Electric Power, its sister company UniSource Energy Services, and their parent company UNS Energy Corporation.

Joe's most recent role has been as the Senior Director of Communications and Public Affairs at Tucson Electric Power. In this executive position, they oversee external and internal communications, external affairs, government relations, and community service activities for Tucson Electric Power, UniSource Energy Services, and their parent company UNS Energy, which is a subsidiary of Fortis, Inc.
